NEWARK, Del. - - Manuela Restrepo becomes the third student-athlete in Wilmington University women's soccer program history to be named All-American after she was voted a Third Team selection by the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) for her stellar 2023 season.

Manuela Restrepo (Medellin, Colombia) joins former teammate Jimena Garcia Risoto (2021) and Begum Malali (2007) as the only other women's soccer student-athletes to earn All-American status. Both Garcia Risoto and Malali were also voted to the D2CCA (previously Daktronics) All-American squads in their respective seasons.

Despite missing three games, including the final two games of the season, Manuela Restrepo finished second in the CACC with 29 points on the year, finishing fourth in the league with 10 goals while leading the way with nine assists on the season. She had three games with multiple goals, including a hat trick at Post on September 16. She also scored twice at Adelphi and had a season-high six points with two goals and two assists at Dominican. She also had a season's best three assists at St. Thomas Aquinas. Restrepo is the first Wildcat to be named CACC Player of the Year since Begum Malali in 2007 and is the third overall with Katie Mazzio in 2004.

Manuela Restrepo was named the CACC Player of the Year, a First Team D2CCA All-East Region, and a First Team All-CACC selection.

East Region Player of the Year Mia Klammer was voted the 2023 Women's Soccer Ron Lenz National Player of the Year after leading the country with 53 points. The D2CCA All-American Teams and Ron Lenz Player of the Year awards are voted on by NCAA Division II sports information directors.
