Logan Stinson and Jack Cruz Named to CACC Weekly Report

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Wilmington University's Logan Stinson and Jack Cruz were honored on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Lacrosse Weekly Report, as announced by the conference office on Monday.

Logan Stinson (Lafayette, La.) was named a CACC Co-Player of the Week follow the team's game against Lake Erie on March 17. Jack Cruz (Wilmington, N.C.) was named the CACC Goalkeeper of the Week after the team picked up its first win of the season.

Logan Stinson not only capped the win with the overtime goal, but also led the Wildcats with six points in the win. He scored five goals and added an assist. All in one motion, he jumped, scooped up a rebound and scored with 1:11 left on the clock in over to give the Wildcats a 12-11 victory. He also scored two goals in the second quarter, a goal in the third quarter, and a goal in the fourth quarter to finish with five for the game. He now has 96 career goals, looking to become the first Wildcat in program history to reach 100 career goals.

Jack Cruz made 18 saves in goal for the Wildcats, second most this season. He did have a season's best .621 save percentage with those 18 stops, allowing a season low 11 goals, on 57 total shots. He had a games' high six saves in the second quarter, allowing the Wildcats to keep a 6-5 lead at the halftime break.

Chestnut Hill's Noah Hammon was named the other CACC Co-Player of the Week as well as taking home CACC Rookie of the Week honors to round out the Weekly Report.
