NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - The Wilmington University track and field teams earned three Major Awards after a vote of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference coaches and teams following the CACC Championships.

Both the men's and women's team were awarded the CACC Team Sportsmanship Award, with the women sharing the votes with Holy Family. It is the second year in a row the men's team has been awarded the Sportsmanship Award.

The Wildcats' Dallas Parker was also named the CACC Men's Track Rookie of the Year for his outstanding freshman campaign. Parker became the men's program's first CACC Major Award Winner, following Freja Olofsson, who earned the CACC Women's Field Rookie of the Year a season ago.

Dallas Parker competed in 10 events throughout his freshman year, competing in the 110 and 400-meter hurdles, the high jump, long jump, triple jump, pole vault, shot put, and javelin throw. He has also competed with the 4x100 and 4x400-meter relays teams this season.

He had a season's best countable result in the 110-meter hurdle and triple jump at the CACC Championships, running a 15.25 preliminary race in the 110-meter hurdle and jumping a distance of 13.98 meters in the triple jump.
