Men’s Cross Country Remains at No. 8 in Latest USTFCCCA East Region Poll

NEWARK, Del. – In this week's United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) Poll, the Wilmington University men's cross country team remained in the No. 8 spot in the East Region.

In their race last weekend at the Capital Cross Challenge in Sacramento, California, the men finished 32nd overall, earning 930 points. Wilmington was the only Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference school to make the list this week.

Southern Connecticut remained in the No. 1 spot in the East Region while rounding out the national poll in the 25th spot. American International moved up two spots to No. 2 in the East, as Roberts Wesleyan, Stonehill, and Southern New Hampshire all dropped by one spot.

Assumption and Wilmington remained in the seventh and eighth spots, as St. Thomas Aquinas moved up one to No. 9. Molloy rounded out the East Region at No. 10 for the first time this season.

The Wildcats will head to Salisbury, Maryland this Saturday for the Don Cathcart Invitational. The women are slated to run at 9:45 a.m. with the men following at 10:30 a.m. at Winter Place Park.
