Chuck Clausius joined the Wilmington University baseball program as an assistant coach in August 2022, with his first season on the bench with the Wildcats in 2023.

Clausius brings a wealth of baseball knowledge to Brian August’s staff, totaling 32 years of coaching experience in Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. He currently works as a coach with the Titus Baseball Academy out of Wilmington.

The long-time coach began his career at Glasgow High School in 1991. Clausius helped lead Newark High School to a State Championship in 1996 as an assistant and then moved over to New Jersey and led Pennsville Memorial High School to the 1999 Group One South Jersey Finalists as the head coach. He came back to Delaware and led the 2002 Brandywine team to the DIAA State Championship as the head coach as well.

Clausius has coached teams to the State Tournament a total number of 17 times in Delaware and New Jersey with Pennsville, Brandywine, Archmere, and Newark Charter. He was named the Diamond State Conference Coach of the Year in 2008 and 2014, as well as being named the DIAA Baseball Coach of the Year in 2014 at Archmere.

He also has experience in travel ball with the Akadema Warriors and coached the Avon Grove Little League Tournament Team to the 2015 District 28 Championship and the Section 7 Championship.

Chuck and his wife, Paige, have two children. Their son, Kody, plays baseball at Gettysburg, and their daughter, Keleigh, plans on attending Alvernia to play field hockey.
