NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University cheerleaders are vying for their ninth Universal Cheerleaders Association (UCA) National Championship this weekend when they compete in the 2023 UCA College Nationals at the Walt Disney World Resort.

In addition to competing in their usual Open Small Coed Division, the Wildcats will be testing the waters in the Small Coed Game Day Division for the first time as well.

The weekend will begin on Friday with the Game Day routine before the Wildcats perform their usual routine for the Open Small Coed Division on Saturday.

Here is a breakdown of when the Wildcats will hit the mats this weekend:

Friday – January 13^th
Small Coed Gameday Semifinals at 1:16pm

Saturday – January 14^th
Small Coed Gameday Finals – TBD
Small Coed Gameday Awards – 12:15pm
Open Small Coed Semifinals – 2:04pm

Sunday – January 15^th
Open Small Coed Finals – TBD
Open Small Coed Awards – 11:45am

The Wildcats won eight straight UCA Open Small Coed Division National Championships beginning with their first in 2012. They will be competing for their ninth overall, but first since 2019 this weekend.
