
NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University golf team wrapped up its 2024 Fall season with six events and is ranked No. 5 in the East region according to the latest Scoreboard Powered by Clippd National Rankings.
Scoreboard, the official NCAA Golf platform for tournaments and rankings, uses its National Collegiate Golf Ranking System to rank its teams Nationally and Regionally, as well as individual golfers across the three divisions. The rankings are according to the average weighted points, taking into account strokes, finishing positions, and stroke differential in standings, among other categories.
St. Thomas Aquinas leads the East Region with a 20.15 average weighted points, followed by Southern New Hampshire (15.72), Goldey-Beacom (13.78), Dominican (11.96), and Wilmington (11.03) in the Top 5.
The rest of the Top 10 includes: Adelphi (10.23), Assumption (10.21), Felician (7.77), Post (7.42) and Jefferson (7.16).
Individually, freshman Noah Wallace ranks fourth in the East Region with 18.44 average weighted points. In six events, he has three Top 3 finishes with a 73.3 adjusted scoring average. Pablo Quintero is ranked No. 18 in the East Region with one victory, winning the Chestnut Hill Invitational. He has 10.46 average weighted points with an adjusted scoring average of 76.0.
The Wildcats return to action in the spring, trying to be one of the Top 10 teams in the East Region selected to participate in the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional at the end of the year.
