
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Senior guard Taalib Holloman ended the regular season by being named a Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Co-Player of the Week, as announced by the conference office on Monday.
Taalib Holloman (Philadelphia, Pa.) helped lead the Wilmington University men's basketball team to a 2-0 week last week, wrapping up the No. 3 seed in the CACC South Division. The Wildcats went 16-12 in the regular season, 9-7 in CACC play. Last week, they defeated Georgian Court, 95-61, and Goldey-Beacom, 99-91, in overtime.
Holloman averaged 23.5 points in the two games, adding 4.5 rebounds, and 1.5 steals per game. He shot 41.9 percent from the floor, adding 16-of-17 from the foul line. In the process, he reached the 1,000-point milestone for this career, doing so in the win at Goldey-Beacom.
On Senior Night against Georgian Court, Holloman scored 25 points while adding six rebounds, two assists, and a steal. He went 10-of-11 from the foul line in the win over the Lions.
In the regular season finale at Goldey-Beacom, Holloman's eighth point was his 1,000th for his career. He went on to shoot 7-of-16 from the floor and score 22 points, adding three rebounds, and two steals. He went a perfect 6-for-6 from the line in the game.
Holloman and the Wildcats head to Waterbury, Connecticut, to take on Post in the CACC Tournament First Round on Tuesday night.
