
FAIRFAX, Va. - - Four season's best including a new school record highlighted the Wilmington University track and field's final meet of the season at the IC4A/ECAC Championships over the weekend hosted by George Mason.
Each team recorded three points in the meet, with the 4x100-meter relay teams placing sixth place on each side.
The women's 4x100-meter relay team broke the school record for the second time this season, running a swift 49.03. The combination of Deja Curry, Temi Mustapha, Trinity Brittingham, and Eliza Hildreth finished sixth in the meet while breaking the school record.
Temi Mustapha ran a blistering 12.08 in the 100-meter event but with a +2.4 wind index for record keeping purposes. She finished ninth in the prelims, narrowly missing the finals against all NCAA Division I runners. Eliza Hildreth set a new personal best in the sprint, running a 12.22 in the prelims, the 13th fastest time at the meet.
Eliza Hildreth then ran a new season's best 25.41 in the 200-meter event, which would have been another new school record for the freshman in the event, but was recorded with a +2.4 wind index. She finished 14th while running against the NCAA Division I opposition.
Temi Mustapha took to the pit at George Mason as well, leaping a distance of 5.27 meters to finish 10th overall in the long jump. Viviana Caamanocompeted in the hammer throw for the Wildcats, spinning the hammer to a distance of 35.53 meters to finish 16th overall.
On the men's side, Dallas Parker and the 4x100-meter relay team set new season's best to cap the year, with the 4x100-meter team finishing sixth for three points.
Tyler Levons ran a sub-11.00 second 100-yard dash again, finishing 31st against the tough competition with a 10.98 in the preliminaries. Matthew Hibbert finished 39th overall with a time of 11.11. Hibbert then ran the 200-meter event in 22.30 to place 34th overall while Juan Fountain sprinted to a time of 22.50 to finish 41st overall.
Dallas Parker set a new season's best in the 400-meter hurdles, running the fastest time on the team with a 12th place finish in 54.42, narrowly missing the finals heat. Parker also competed in the 110-meter hurdles event on Sunday, running to a 16.18 final, finishing in 22nd overall.
The 4x100-meter relay team of Rayhan Issah, Dallas Parker, Juan Fountain, and Matthew Hibbert had a season's best race, finishing sixth overall against NCAA Division I foes with a time of 41.67.
Rayhan Issah then competed in the long jump, finishing in 13th overall with a distance of 6.61 meters.
Overall this season, the Wildcats broke 11 school records, including seven on the women's side. The men broke four school records through the season as well.
