PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, Md - - The Wilmington University women's basketball team rounded out their weekend trip at Bowie State University Sunday afternoon in a 73-30 nonconference loss.

The Bulldogs opened up on a 13 to 0 run in the first quarter, setting the contest's pace. Trinity Brittingham earned a trip to the line with 4:38 left in the first quarter to score the Wildcat's first two points, as Brittingham went 2-for-2 from the line. Brittingham then found Amber Washington for a layup with under two minutes to play in the first. The Wildcats closed out the quarter with a Jade Roberts layup.

In the second quarter, the Wildcats (0-7) out-rebounded the Bulldogs eight to seven, including two offensive rebounds. Daja Claiborne was a part of all the Wildcat's points in the second quarter as Claiborne had four of the Wildcat's six points in the second quarter, four of the team's rebounds, and an assist.

Daja Claiborne continued producing points in the third quarter as she opened up the scoring for the Wildcats. Tanasia Miles assisted Claiborne on the Wildcat's first basket of the second half in the opening minute. Following the Claiborne basket, Trinity Brittingham converted from beyond the arc, connecting on the Wildcat's sole three-pointer of the game.

The Wildcats were on the wrong end of a shooting frenzy as the Bulldogs shot 60 percent from the three-point line in the third and nearly 40 percent from the field. The Bulldogs finished with 24 points in the third quarter.

Freshman Tye Queen highlighted the fourth quarter for the Wildcats. Queen saw six minutes of action and went one for two from the field. Queen also earned two trips to the field throw line, going two for four from the line. Queen also had two rebounds, one of them being offensive.
