Ella Royer Repeats as Player of the Year, Leading Three Wildcats on All-CACC Teams

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Three Wilmington University student-athletes were mentioned as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference announced its 2025 Women's Lacrosse All-Conference Teams, headlined by Ella Royer being named the CACC Player of the Year.

It is the second straight year that Ella Royer (Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada) has been named the CACC Player of the Year in a vote by the league's 10 head coaches. Royer is joined on the All-CACC First Team by Alea Javorowsky (Macedon, N.Y.) while Tristan Holdsworth (Hamilton, Ontario, Canada) was named Second Team All-CACC.

Ella Royer leads all of NCAA Division II with 118 goals, breaking the single-season national record. She has also dished out 25 assists for 143 points on the season, second most in the country. She also leads the CACC with 128 draw controls and 58 ground balls, sitting in third place in the conference with 35 caused turnovers as well. She's scored 10 goals in a game twice this season, finishing with a season's high 12 points against Bridgeport in the CACC Tournament First Round game on Saturday. She's also scored nine goals twice and eight goals in two other games. She is averaging 6.56 goals, 7.94 points, 7.11 draws, and 3.22 ground balls per game this year. She has been named First Team All-CACC all three years at Wilmington.

Alea Javorowsky is second in the country with 63 assists on the season, scoring a career best 35 goals. Her 98 points are fourth most in the CACC and 14th in NCAA DII. She's collected double digit points in two games this season, scoring once and adding nine assists against Felician and scoring two goals to go with eight assists against Chestnut Hill. She had a career best five goals in the CACC Tournament First Round game on Saturday. She was a Second Team All-CACC selection in 2024.

Tristan Holdsworth has enjoyed a career season with the Wildcats, starting all 18 games while scoring a career high 40 goals to go with 28 assists for 68 points, ranking third on the team and eighth in the CACC. She's had a career high seven points three times this season, scoring a career best six goals while adding an assist at Bridgeport. She also had five goals and two assists at Post, and three goals and four assists against Bridgeport in the CACC Tournament First Round game on Saturday.

Georgian Court's Nena Menard was named the CACC Rookie of the Year while Dominican's Jenna Rigo was voted the CACC Defensive Player of the Year. Jefferson's Kalyn Ammerlaan was named the CACC Goalkeeper of the Year while the Dominican head coach Rob Grella was voted as the CACC Coach of the Year for the fourth straight year by the athletics communication's personnel in the CACC. Post took home the Team Sportsmanship Award to round out the CACC Major Awards.

Royer, Javorowsky, and Holdsworth have the Wildcats as the No. 3 seed in the CACC Tournament with a record of 13-5 overall and 7-2 in CACC play. They square off against No. 2 Jefferson in the CACC Tournament Semifinal today in Philadelphia.
