Diverse Offensive Attack Leads Wilmington Volleyball to 3-0 Sweep at USciences

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - - The Wilmington University volleyball team spread the ball around on the attack in sweeping USciences, 3-0, on the road in Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference action on Tuesday night inside Bobby Morgan Arena.

Set scores for the night were 25-23, 25-20, and 25-14.

Seven different Wildcats (6-7, 2-2 CACC) earned at least three kills on the night, led by freshman Addison Reich's seven terminations. The Wildcats hit .149 for the match with only 17 errors while holding the Devils (2-6, 1-4 CACC) to a .036 attack percentage by collecting 69 digs and four blocks.

Freshman Addalyn Flores was at the forefront of the defense, collecting 20 digs in the three set victory. Senior Allison Briley added 16 digs while Jenna Brown chipped in with 10 kills to round out the student-athletes with double digit digs.

Briley added six kills on the night as well while freshman Jill Braunsberg also added six kills on only 18 attacks. Braunsberg also dished out a team high 15 assists and served up a pair of aces. She was one dig shy of a double-double with nine.

Senior Megan Ward put down five kills with a hitter's high .231 attack percentage, committing only two errors on 13 attempts. Junior Eile Harris added five kills as well, adding a team high three block assists to lead the defense at the net.

Freshman Rebecca Rawlinson chipped in with three kills while sophomore Miranda Shaw rounded out the kills with three more, adding 13 assists and six digs to the mix as well.

The Wildcats return to action and the WU Athletics Complex on Friday with another CACC South Division matchup. The Wildcats will host Chestnut Hill on Friday night with the first serve scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
