
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - For the fourth time this season, Wilmington University standout freshman Eliza Schneider has been named the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rookie of the Week on Monday, as announced by the conference office.
The freshman outside hitter has also been named CACC Rookie of the Week on September 23 and 30, and October 7 so far this season.
Last week, Eliza Schneider (Hartly, Del./Smyrna) helped lead the Wildcats to a 1-1 record, by averaging 3.86 kills and 4.00 points per set. She only committed eight errors on 60 attempts, collecting a .317 attack percentage in the two matches.
She tied her season high with 19 kills in a 3-1 win at Goldey-Beacom. She only committed three errors on 34 attempts in the CACC South Division match, hitting .471. She also added six digs and had one solo block for 20 points. The team then traveled to CACC North Division leading Post on Saturday where Schneider put down eight kills while adding three digs in the loss.
The Wildcats are back in action on Tuesday night when they travel to CACC South Division leading Georgian Court looking for a regular season split against the Lions. The first serve in Lakewood, New Jersey, is set for 6:00 p.m.
