NEWARK, Del. - - Four individuals were named to the National Tenpin Coaches Association (NTCA) All-Academic Scholar Athlete Team while the Wilmington University bowling program also made an appearance as an NTCA All-Academic Scholar Team to cap the 2023-24 bowling season.

The four Wildcats are a part of the NTCA's 364 distinguished scholar-athletes from 75 NCAA Bowling programs while the Wildcats' program is one of 61 teams to be honored for their academic prowess.

To earn this esteemed accolade, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.4 or higher throughout the academic year. Representing the Wildcats as an NTCA All-Academic Scholar Athlete are graduate students Eleni Feggulis and Sydney Jones, junior Logan Brown, and freshman Miranda Dudas.

Every academic year, the National Tenpin Coaches Association commends NCAA bowling teams for their academic prowess. To be eligible, programs must maintain a cumulative team GPA of 3.2 or higher and remain active members of the NTCA. This year, a commendable sixty-one (61) bowling programs have met this distinguished standard. Of the 61 teams, the Wildcats are ranked 28th with a team cumulative GPA of 3.457.

Jackson State University led all bowling programs with a 3.777 GPA while Merrimack finished second with a 3.745 GPA. Sacred Heart was third with a 3.699. The Wildcats were the second CACC team on the list, behind only Bloomfield's 3.62 cumulative GPA.
