Faillon, Siok, and Schneider Named CACC Players of the Week

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - A trio of Wilmington University student-athletes earned Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week status on Monday, leading their teams on the field and court.

The Wildcats swept the CACC Soccer Player of the Week awards with men's soccer's Theo Faillon and women's soccer's Jordan Siok while volleyball's Eliza Schneider took home her third CACC Rookie of the Week honor.

Theo Faillon (Allinges, France) led the Wildcats to a 1-0-1 record last week, scoring three goals while adding an assist for seven points. The CACC leader in goals, Faillon led the comeback charge at Holy Family, scoring twice in the final three minutes to win, 4-3. He also assisted on the team's first goal of the game. He then scored late against Caldwell, resulting in a 1-1 draw with the Cougars.

Jordan Siok (Haddonfield, N.J.) had a hand in all four goals the Wildcats scored in a 2-0 week last week, scoring twice while adding two assists for six points. She scored the eventual game-winner of a 3-1 win at Holy Family, assisting on the other two goals against the Tigers. She then scored the lone goal of a 1-0 victory against Caldwell on Saturday, making it two game-winners last week.

Eliza Schneider (Hartly, Del.) led the Wildcats attack during a 2-1 week last week, putting down 41 kills in 10 sets. She only committed 11 errors on 105 attempts last week, finishing with a .286 attack percentage while averaging 4.10 kills per set. She also added 1.20 digs per set last week. She set a new season high with 17 kills in a 3-0 victory at Holy Family, hitting .341 for the match while also adding a week's best seven digs. She put down 14 kills in a 3-1 win at Caldwell and added 10 more in three sets against New Haven.

Volleyball's Gabby Barth was named to the CACC Weekly Honor Roll after averaging 5.70 digs per set. Cross country leaders Trent Taylor and Tiffany Banning were also named to the Weekly Honor Roll after being the top finishers for the Wildcats at the 50th Annual Paul Short Run at Lehigh.
