NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) unveiled its 2021-22 CACC Team Academic Award winners on Wednesday, as seven schools combined to take home the 16 honors for the 2021-22 academic year. The announcement was made by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara. The school with the highest team grade point average in each of the league's 16 championship sports during the 2021-22 campaign was crowned the Team Academic Award winner for that specific sport. Teams must have met NCAA sport sponsorship minimum standards to be eligible to earn the academic awards.
Wilmington was one of seven institutions in the CACC (13 total) that had a program win the Team Academic Award, and only one of five with multiple programs. Thomas Jefferson University led the way with five of its teams earning awards, while Post University followed with three.
