Wilmington Golf Selected to Participate in 13th Consecutive Super Regional Tournament

LEBANON, Pa. - - For the 13th year in a row, the Wilmington University golf team will be playing in the NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional Tournament, as the field of 20 teams and four individuals were announced this afternoon.

The Wildcats have competed in every Super Regional Tournament since their first one in 2009, making it 13 consecutive years in which the team competed. The 2020 spring season was cut short and the team did not compete in 2020-2021.

Wilmington is one of 10 teams from the East to be selected for Regional play, as they will team up with 10 teams from the Atlantic Region to form the Super Regional Tournament. The three-day, three-round tournament will start on May 11 at the Iron Valley Golf Club in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, hosted by Millersville University.

The goal is to be one of the top three teams in the Super Regional, as the top three teams will advance to the NCAA Division II National Championship at the Avalon Lakes Country Club in Warren, Ohio.
