After graduating from Wilmington University in 2010, Vernon Dupree begins his 10th season as an assistant with the men’s basketball program in 2019-20.

Dupree started his collegiate career at American International College in 2005 before transferring to Wilmington University in 2008. As a senior for the Wildcats, Dupree started all 26 games helping the men’s program land its first playoff appearance in the Central Athletic Collegiate Conference (CACC). For his efforts as a senior, Dupree received All-Conference honors, the Sam Cozen award, and was ranked third in the conference in assists.

A Delaware native, Dupree was a three-year starter at Concord High School in Wilmington. He was named First-Team All-Conference during his sophomore, junior and senior years, and was named All-State, after his junior and senior seasons.

Coach Dupree graduated from Wilmington University in 2010 with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Accounting. Dupree currently works for Wilmington in the University Relations department.
