
NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Three Major Award winners and a league-best eight All-Conference winners highlight the Wilmington University men's lacrosse team as the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference announced the All-Conference teams on Tuesday.
For the third year in a row, the Wildcats house the CACC Player of the Year as Logan Stinson takes home the honor in his final season. Josh Weston was voted the CACC Rookie of the Year while head coach Christian Zwickert was voted the CACC Coach of the Year for the third time in the last four years.
Joining Stinson on the All-CACC First Team is last year's CACC Player of the Year TJ Caton (M), Jacob Herman (M), Quinn Tracy (D), and Matt Kracyla (SSDM). Getting voted to the All-CACC Second Team were Miles Crouse (A), Tyler Quinn (SSDM), and Carnell Lofton Jr. (Specialist).
Logan Stinson (Lafayette, La.) is a four-time First Team All-CACC performer, being named the CACC Rookie of the Year in 2021 as well. He currently leads all of NCAA Division II in scoring 4.46 goals per game this year, setting new WilmU single-season records with 58 goals and 73 points. He had a season high 10 points with eight goals and two assists at Caldwell while also collecting eight points in three separate games.
Josh Weston (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada) becomes just the second Wildcat to earn CACC Rookie of the Year award, with Stinson earning the honor in 2021. He is sixth in the CACC with 36 goals this year, ranking 15th overall with 38 points. He scored a season's best six goals twice, first against Bridgeport and again versus Felician.
TJ Caton (Palmyra, Pa.) is a repeat First Team member, finishing fourth on the team with 42 points this season. He has scored 27 goals to go with 15 assists this year, leading the non-face-off position players this year with 57 ground balls. He is ranked eighth in the league with five man-up goals while ranking 11th in ground balls. He had a season high seven points against Felician, scoring five goals while adding two assists.
Jacob Herman (Palmyra, Pa.) has been named All-CACC for the third year in a row, moving back up to First Team honors this year. He was a First Team member in 2022 and a Second Team midfielder in 2023. This year, he is sixth in the CACC with 57 points, ranking second in the CACC with 40 assists while adding 17 goals. He is currently second in all of NCAA DII in averaging 3.08 assists per game and 24th overall in averaging 4.38 points per game. He's had a season high eight points against Felician, scoring a goal while dishing out seven assists.
Quinn Tracy (Maple Valley, Wash.) was voted a First Team All-CACC defender in his sophomore season. He is fifth on the team with nine caused turnovers while adding 15 ground balls this year. He had a season's best three caused turnovers and three ground balls in a win at Holy Family.
Matt Kracyla (Middletown, Del.) moved up from Second Team All-CACC a season ago to a First Team All-CACC honoree this year as a short-stick defensive midfielder. Kracyla has appeared in all 13 games for the Wildcats collecting six caused turnovers and puts his nose in the face-off, scooping up 26 ground balls on the year. He's also scored goals in two games this year, scoring against Bridgeport and at Holy Family while adding an assist at Dominican. He's had a season high four ground balls in a game twice this year.
Miles Crouse (Baltimore, Md.) earns his first All-CACC honor of his career, sitting second on the team with 57 points. He is fourth in the CACC with 26 assists while ranking ninth in the league with 31 goals. He is currently sixth in all of NCAA DII in shot percentage, scoring on 53.4 percent of his shots, sitting at 58 shots on the year with 44 shots on goal. He is also 22nd in the country in dishing out 2.00 assists per game. He's had a season high nine points in two games this year, first against Bridgeport with five goals and four assists and against Molloy with five goals and four assists.
Tyler Quinn (Barnegat, N.J.) picks up his first All-CACC honors of his career as well, being named a Second Team All-CACC short-stick defensive midfielder. He is third on the team with 11 caused turnovers while adding 23 ground balls. He's also scored once this year in transition, scoring at Post while adding an assist at Caldwell. He had a season high three caused turnovers against Georgian Court and three ground balls in three different games.
Carnell Lofton Jr. (Port Penn, Del.) earns a Second Team All-CACC spot as a specialist, being the Wildcats lead face-off. Amongst face-off players with more than 200 attempts, Lofton is third in the CACC with a .592 winning percentage, ranking fourth overall with 142 wins. He is also seventh in the CACC with 67 ground balls. His .592 face-off winning percentage ranks 24th in NCAA DII, winning a season's best 20 face-offs against Felician. He went 18-of-21 at Lake Erie, 10-of-12 at Dominican, and 16-of-20 at Caldwell.
Head coach Christian Zwicker also won the CACC Coach of the Year award in 2021 and 2022, earning his third of his career in 2024. He has the team on an eight game winning streak as the Wildcats won the CACC Regular Season Champions for the second time in program history.
Chestnut Hill's Daniel Grubb was voted the CACC Defensive Player of the Year while his defensive anchor Julius Sorino was voted the CACC Goalkeeper of the Year. First year program Holy Family earned the Team Sportsmanship Award to round out the Major Award winners.
The Wildcats host Post in a CACC Tournament Semifinal game on Wednesday at the WU Athletics Complex. The winner advances to the CACC Tournament Championship game on Sunday, May 5, hosted by Dominican in Orangeburg, New York.
