NEWARK, Del. - - With games still to be played on Friday to determine the rest of the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Soccer Tournament seedings, the Wilmington University men's team knows it will host No. 5 Concordia on Monday at the WU Athletics Complex starting at 2 p.m.

The Wildcats slid to the No. 4 seed despite tying for third overall in the conference, due to the head-to-head tiebreaker with Philadelphia. Both the Rams and the Wildcats picked up 22 points on the year with identical 7-4-1 CACC records this season.

The top four seeds host a CACC Quarterfinal match before the winner advancing to the CACC Semifinals on Wednesday hosted by Wilmington University at the WU Athletics Complex.

The top four host sites have been cemented in the CACC standings as Post earned the CACC Regular Season crown with 30 points to this point. Dominican solidified the No. 2 seed with 25 points while Philadelphia and Wilmington also host.

Concordia is the definite No. 5 seed while the remaining spots are left to be determined tonight with Nyack and Bloomfield still to play. Nyack hosts Post at 3 p.m. today while Bloomfield hosts Dominican starting at 2 p.m. Chestnut Hill has earned a spot in the playoffs with 19 points but its seed is yet to be determined by todays' outcomes. Holy Family is also in the mix with 18 points in seventh spot at this point.

In their meeting earlier this season, Wilmington was able to mount a furious comeback after going down 2-0 in the 62nd minute at Concordia on September 21. Elton Joe started the rally with a goal in the 63rd minute before Tommy Quaranta tied the match with a goal in the 71st minute. Joe capped the comeback and sealed the victory with his second goal of the match in the 80th minute.

Concordia received goals from Ishmeal Yemoh in the 40th minute before the halftime break and took a 2-0 advantage on a goal by Ovan Oakley in the 62nd minute.

Frank Hall made five saves in goal for the Wildcats while Ruel Gordon made six stops in net for the Clippers. Wilmington held the slight edge, 20-18, in shots while Concordia earned more corners, 9-3, in the match.

Since the match is a part of the CACC postseason, all fans in attendance must buy a ticket at the gate. Fans will be directed to the north side entrance of the complex from the parking lot. Admission for the match is $6 for adults and $3 for students WITH A VALID ID.
