NEWARK, Del. - - Junior centerback Samantha Emmi has been voted All-Region for the second year in a row, earning a spot on the Division II Conference Commissioner's Association All-East Region Second Team for 2022.

Samantha Emmi (Logan Township, N.J.) was a First Team All-Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference defender for the second year in a row and can now call herself a two-time All-Region performer. She was a First Team D2CCA All-East Region a season ago after being named the 2021 CACC Defensive Player of the Year and First Team All-CACC.

The junior started all 18 games for the Wildcats at the center back position and finished as the team's second leading goal scorer. She finished with six goals for 12 points, being the target player on attacking free kicks and corners and also being the taker in close range chances, blasting balls into the back of the net.

She scored both goals in a 2-2 tie at Chestnut Hill, giving the Wildcats the 1-0 lead in the seventh minute and the 2-1 lead in the 24th minute. She also scored goals against Caldwell, Dominican, Bridgeport, and the game-winning goal in a 3-1 win against Felician.

Samantha Emmi's 16 career goals rank her sixth all-time while her 35 points put her just outside the Top-10 in program history in just three seasons.

Saint Rose's Mia Klammer was named the 2022 East Region Player of the Year after leading the Golden Knights to the Region's number one seed with 12 goals, 15 assists, and 39 points.
