NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - For the first time in program history, the Wilmington University men's cross county team was awarded the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Rob Roman Memorial Team Sportsmanship Award following a vote among the league's 13 teams.

The Wildcats finished third at the CACC Championships with three All-CACC performers in Trent Taylor, Vaughn Lackman, and Dan Wyshinski. They went on to finish 14th overall at the NCAA Division East Regional Championship as well, led by Taylor and Lackman who were named All-Regional.

Felician garnered the 2022 CACC Women's Cross Country Anne Jackson Memorial Team Sportsmanship Award. Both teams demonstrated outstanding character during the recently completed campaign.

The sportsmanship awards are named in honor of Anne Jackson (Nyack College) and Rob Roman (Post University), who were cross country runners at their respective institutions and passed away during their collegiate careers.

The Wildcats have had five CACC Runners of the Year, six CACC Rookies of the Year, and six CACC Men's Coach of the Year awards in its NCAA era. This is the first Sportsmanship Award given to the program.
