Junior Season: The junior played in 10 tournaments in his first year as a Wildcats, playing in 25 rounds – he finished the year with an average round score of 79.76 – he tied for 13^th overall at the Charger Spring Invitational with rounds of 78 and 76 for a 154 – finished 28^th overall at the CACC Championship with rounds of 78 and 82 – finished tied for 20^th overall at the Crofton Invitational with scores of 79-78-76for a 233 – had a low round of 74 on three different occasions throughout the season.

Prior to Wilmington University: Attended Eastern Wyoming College as a freshman, earning First Team All-Region and Second Team All-District in 2016-17 – moved onto Parkland College for his sophomore season.

High School: attended Bookville High School in Mbabane, Swaziland

Personal: Avshalom “Arvy” Welile Shongwe – son of Themba and Brenda Shongwe – has three siblings, Denise, Sade, and Janrei – father, Themba Shongwe and uncle Ricky Saulus played professional soccer – majoring in business management at Wilmington University – from Mbabane, Swaziland, Africa – favorite athlete is Tiger Woods – also enjoys soccer and pool – if he could date a celebrity, he would date Cheyenne Woods – favorite movie is The Fast and Furious – favorite cartoon character is Johnny Bravo – favorite professional sports team is Manchester United – if he could coach a team for a year, he would want to coach the United State Ryder Cup Team.
