Josh Weston Named Third Team Preseason All-American; Men’s Lacrosse Receiving Votes in USILA Top 20

NEWARK, Del. - - Wilmington University sophomore and reigning Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Men's Lacrosse Rookie of the Year Josh Weston has been named a 2025 Nike Lacrosse Preseason Third Team All-American by Inside Lacrosse.

Josh Weston (Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada) leads the 2025 Wildcats into their season opener on Saturday at Barton. The Wildcats went 11-4 last year, winning the CACC Regular Season with a perfect 8-0 record.

On the field, Weston was second on the team with 39 goals last year, finishing fifth on the team with 41 points as a freshman. He scored a season high six goals twice last year, first against Bridgeport and then in another win against Felician. He also scored four goals twice, first at Lake Erie and then again at Holy Family.

The Wildcats will enter the 2025 season one of 34 teams mentioned in the latest United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Division II Coaches' Poll, earning two votes to be outside the Top 20 but among those receiving votes.
