DOHA, QATAR - - Wilmington University men's soccer freshman Stanley Ho is representing his country in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) U20 Asian Cup Qualifiers, competing for Hong Kong from September 23-30.
Stanley Ho is one of 23 athletes on the U20 Hong Kong National Team, looking to help his team advance to the AFC U20 Asian Cup in China in 2025. Of the 10 groups, Hong Kong is competing in Group J. all group winners, along with five of the best-place runners-up, will advance to the final stages in China in 2025. Hong Kong will face Jordan, Singapore, and host Qatar in the qualifying stages.
The freshman forward competed in the first four games of the season for the Wildcats and will rejoin the team this fall once the tournament in Qatar is finished. Stanley Ho is from Tung Chung, Hong Kong, playing his high school career at the Rush Premier Sports Academy in Florida.
