KC Miller and Miranda Dudas Sweep CACC Weekly Awards

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - KC Miller and Miranda Dudas swept the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Player of the Week awards after leading the Wilmington University bowling team to a third-place finish at the Griffin Baker Classic last weekend.

The Wildcats went into bracket play as the top ranked team in the 16-team field but fell to Belmont Abbey before coming back to defeat Bryant in the third-place match.

KC Miller (Denver, Pa.) was named the CACC Bowler of the Week after leading the team with a 19.42 Baker frame average over the course of the weekend. She collected 43 strikes in the tournament, finishing with a 46.7 strike percentage while adding a 65.3 spare percentage. She was able to get off to a good start on her chances, collecting a 8.72 first ball average over the weekend.

Miranda Dudas (Toms River, N.J.) picks up her third CACC Rookie of the Week award this season, also being honored on November 27 and January 26. This weekend, Dudas bowled 42 frames, completing them all while bowling a first-ball average of 8.69. She had 16 strikes on the weekend, finishing with a 38.1 strike percentage. She also had a 53.8 spare percentage to help the Wildcats to a third-place finish.

Wilmington is off this weekend and then will host the next three tournaments. The first tournament at Bowlerama will be the Wildcat DII Invitational starting on Friday, February 16.
