
NEWARK, Del. - - After another strong run at the 50th Annual Paul Short Run last weekend, the Wilmington University men's cross country team moved up a spot to No. 7 in the latest United States Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) East Region Poll earlier this week.
Competing in a large field comprised of teams from all three divisions, the Wildcats finished 29th out of 38 teams at the Paul Short Run hosted by Lehigh.
The Top 3 teams remained the same on the men's side, led by Roberts Wesleyan then followed by Southern Connecticut State and Bentley. Southern New Hampshire jumped six spots to No. 4 this week while Assumption also jumped a spot to No. 6. Caldwell dropped two spots to No. 6 followed by Wilmington's move to No. 7. Franklin Pierce dropped a spot to No. 8 while Adelphi remained the same at No. 9. Daemen reentered the regional poll this week at No. 10.
The Wildcats head to the NJIT Highlander Invitational this weekend, hosted by the New Jersey Institute of Technology at Branch Brook Park. The women start things off in Newark, New Jersey at 12:15 followed by the men at 1:00 p.m.
