Wildcats Named on Initial 2025 NCAA DII Men’s Golf East Region Poll

NEWARK, Del. - - The Wilmington University golf team is one of 11 programs under consideration for the 2025 NCAA Division II Atlantic/East Super Regional Tournament as announced by the Men's Golf Committee on Friday.

The committee released its first set of regional rankings for all eight NCAA Division II regions on Friday. Teams under consideration in each region were announced in alphabetical order. Eleven teams were listed as under consideration in the East Region for the 10 available berths. In addition to Goldey-Beacom, CACC members listed included Dominican University New York, Felician University, Thomas Jefferson University, Post University, and Wilmington University.

Goldey-Beacom won its third consecutive CACC title at the 2024-25 conference championship meet in October. With that crown, the Lighting earned an automatic qualifier into the NCAA Championship.

The Wildcats will be on the course again next Monday when they compete in the Vulcan Fire Classic in Washington, Pa. Hosted by California (Pa.), the two-day tournament will be played at Lone Pine Country Club.

The NCAA will announce the field for the 2025 Division II Men's Golf Championship on April 25. The Atlantic/East Regional Championship will be hosted by Gannon University on May 8-10 at Whispering Woods Golf Club in Erie, Pa.
