NEWARK, Del. - - A pair of Wilmington University men's lacrosse standouts have again earned All-American status, as the United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) announced its final Division II accolades for the 2024 season.
All-time leading scorer Logan Stinson and two-way star TJ Caton have each been named a USILA All-American Honorable Mention this season. It is the second time each Wildcat has been named an Honorable Mention All-American in their career.
Logan Stinson (Lafayette, La.) broke his own school record with 63 goals and 79 points this year, ending his collegiate career as the program's all-time leader in both categories as well. He leaves with 194 career goals and 79 career assists for 273 career points, leading the team to the CACC Tournament Championship game in three of his five seasons. Stinson ranked No. 2 in all of NCAA DII in scoring 4.20 goals per game and No. 5 in scoring 5.27 points per game. His 13 man-up goals this year ranked No. 4 in the country. He had a season high 10 points at Caldwell, scoring eight goals while adding two assists. He was named the CACC Player of the Year, becoming the third Wildcat to earn the Major Award. Stinson was also a USILA Honorable Mention All-American in 2022.
TJ Caton (Palmyra, Pa.) has been a stat sheet stuffer during his entire career, finishing this year with 30 goals and 16 assists for 46 points, adding 64 ground balls and eight caused turnovers as a two-way midfielder. His 64 ground balls are tops among non-faceoff players on the Wildcats, starting all 15 games. He had a season high seven points against Felician, scoring five goals while adding two assists. He also had six points at Post, scoring three goals while adding three assists. He posted a season's best nine ground balls twice, first against Bridgeport and again at Caldwell. Caton was a First Team All-CACC performer this year and a 2023 USILA Honorable Mention All-American.
The Wildcats went 11-4 this season, winning the CACC Regular Season Championship with a perfect 8-0 conference record. They advanced to their CACC Tournament Championship game for the third time in program history before falling to Chestnut Hill.
