Men’s Lacrosse Places Seven Wildcats on 2024 CACC All-Academic Team

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - Fifty-seven (57) student-athletes on Wednesday were named to the 2024 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Men's Lacrosse All-Academic Team, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Eight of the nine CACC schools that compete in the sport were represented on the All-Academic Team.

To be eligible for CACC All-Academic status, a student-athlete must: a) Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5 at the end of immediate preceding term (may include summer for fall sport participants); b) Minimum of two semesters enrolled as full-time student at member institution; c) Student-athlete must be second year student-athlete at member institution (both academically and athletically).

The Wilmington University men's lacrosse team placed seven on the 2024 CACC All-Academic Team, tied for third best in the conference. The Wildcats are led by four-time honoree Logan Stinson, now earning his graduate degree. Jimmy Cava is a three-time honoree while Justin Baird, Matt Kracyla, Lucas Price, Carter Trevisan, and Connor Widmer all made the CACC All-Academic Team for the first time in their careers.

Georgian Court University led the way with 12 honorees, while Post University followed with 11 student-athletes making the all-academic squad.

NOTES ON ALL-ACADEMIC TEAM

  • Two student-athletes -- Dominican University's Brendan O'Connor and Post's Cole George -- posted perfect 4.0 cumulative grade point averages.
  • Ten (10) student-athletes posted GPAs of 3.90 or higher.
  • Dominican's Brian Barker and Wilmington University's Logan Stinson were named to the unit for the fourth time in their respective careers.
  • Nine were named to the unit for the third time in their respective careers.
  • Ten (10) were named to the team for the second time in their respective careers.
  • The five teams to qualify for the CACC playoffs combined to have 42 student-athletes earn All-Academic status.
