NEWARK, Del. - - Men's lacrosse standout Logan Stinson has become the 13th Wilmington University student-athlete to earn Academic All-American status, as the College Sports Communicators announced its four 2024 Academic All-America At-Large Teams for all NCAA and NAIA Divisions. He was named a Second Team Academic All-American.

To be eligible for CSC Academic All-District nomination, the student-athlete must excel in both the field of play and the classroom. Student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically, have at least a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, AND compete in 90 percent of the institution's games or start in at least 66 percent of the games, along with several other criteria. The division's college sports communicators then vote on the All-District winners for the All-American Teams.

Logan Stinson (Lafayette, La.) was the CACC Player of the Year and an honorable mention All-American for the Wildcats, setting program records with 63 goals and 79 points this season. He started all 15 games atop the formation for the Wildcats while working towards his graduate degree with a 3.67 GPA. He graduated with a business management degree with a 3.80 grade point average earlier in his career as well.

Stinson has had an All-American career for the Wildcats, leaving the program as the career leader in multiple offensive categories. He has scored 194 goals in 54 games in his career (3.59 goals per game), including the regular season program record of 63 this season. He also has dished out 79 assists in his career, finishing with a program-record 273 career points (5.06 points per game). His 28 goals on the man advantage are also a record while he added 128 career ground balls and 24 caused turnovers.

Stinson is the 13th Wildcat to earn Academic All-American status and the first male outside the men's soccer program to earn the distinction. He joins Elly Collins (volleyball) and Jess Purdy (women's tennis) as Academic All-American Honorees in the 2023-24 academic season.
