Wilmington Men’s Soccer Ranked No. 1 in First NCAA Division II Super-Region 1 Poll

NEWARK, Del. - - With the first release of the NCAA Division II Super-Region Polls, the Wilmington University men's soccer team has been appointed atop the Super-Region 1 rankings, through games played October 24.

Coming into this week, the Wildcats held a 13-1-1 overall record and in-region record. They hold quality wins over other ranked teams in Gannon, Southern New Hampshire, and Adelphi, as well as a tie with West Chester.

Palm Beach Atlantic leads the Super-Region 2 Rankings, combining the South and Southeast Regions while the University of Indianapolis leads the Super-Region 3 Rankings, combining the Central and Midwest Regions. Midwestern State leads the Super-Region 4 Rankings, combining the West and South Central Regions.

The Wildcats dropped a match to Georgian Court in overtime on Wednesday, and now stand at 13-2-1 overall and 7-2 in CACC play. The next NCAA Division II Super-Region Rankings will come out next Wednesday.
