
NEW CASTLE, Del. - - A perfect 5-0 start has the Wilmington University bowling team in first place at the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Meet #2 after traditional matches on Saturday at the home of the Wildcats in Bowlerama.
The 5-0 day has the Wildcats in second place overall when combing the two CACC Meets, trailing only Caldwell by one match in the overall records. Caldwell is now 12-3 while the Wildcats are 11-4. Chestnut Hill is right behind the Wildcats in third at 10-5.
On Saturday, the Wildcats saved their best performance for Caldwell, winning 967-932, in the fourth match of the day. Their second-best pin total came against Chestnut Hill, winning 952-888 against the Griffins.
Individually, the Wildcats were led by Sydney Jones' second-place visit overall, bowling a 1,008 five-match total for a 201.60 average. She had three matches above 200 with a day's best 220 coming against Caldwell. She also bowled a 216 against Holy Family and a 210 against Bloomfield.
Eleni Feggulis finished seventh overall with a five-match total pinfall of 936, bowling a 187.20 average. She had a day's best 221 against Bloomfield to open the day while also collecting a 212 against Caldwell.
Logan Brown placed ninth overall with a 924 on Saturday, bowling a 184.00 average. She had a day's best 201 against Caldwell and had a 195 against Chestnut Hill.
Miranda Dudas was the fourth Wildcat to bowl all five matches, knocking down 885 pins for a 177.00 average. She had a day's best 206 against Chestnut Hill and a 189 against Caldwell.
KC Miller bowled the first four matches, coming to a 728 total pinfall for a 182.00 average. She bowled a 205 against Felician and a 199 against Chestnut Hill. Genna Closs bowled the fifth match, putting down a 160 against Holy Family.
Caldwell's Lauren Marks earned Tournament MVP honors with a 1,047, bowling a 209.40 average.
The Wildcats will play the other five programs again on Sunday, this time in Baker format.
