Lorne Bickley and Joe Bell Pair Up as CACC Players of the Week Once Again

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - For the second time this season, the duo of Lorne Bickley and Joe Bell have been named on the Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference Weekly Reports, leading the men's soccer team to a 2-0 week.

The pair was also named the CACC Player and Defensive Player of the Week following the first set of games this season, and are featured once again after a record performing week at the WU Athletics Complex.

Lorne Bickley (St. Helier, Jersey) tied his own program mark for goals in a game, finding the back of the net four times against Felician on Saturday. He also scored four goals against the Golden Falcons on September 10, 2017 at the WU Athletics Complex as a sophomore. It was his second hat trick of the season and third of his career.

Bickley scored the first two goals of the game on Saturday, getting the Wildcats on the board just 2:25 into the contest. He came out of the halftime break and scored the fifth and sixth goals of the game to tie his own mark. Bickley continues to lead the CACC with eight goals and 18 points on the season.

Joe Bell (Surrey, England) did it again with his head, this time to help knock off the East's No. 5 team Southern New Hampshire University on Wednesday, 2-1. The Wildcats needed to come from behind in the contest, and Joe Bell got on the end of a corner from Fredrik Bentdal in the 57th minute to put the Wildcats up, 2-1.

Lorne Bickley, Joe Bell, and Fredrik Bentdal are all tied atop the CACC with two game-winning goals each.

On the women's side, freshman Rockesha Dayes earned a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll after scoring two goals in her first two games as a Wildcat. On the volleyball court, Mandy Behiels earned a spot on the Weekly Honor Roll once again, leading the Wildcats to a 3-1 weekend at the Daemen Volleyball Classic.
