INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. - - The second NCAA Division II Men's Soccer Super-Region 1 Poll has been announced and little has changed for the Wilmington University men's soccer team, as it is now tied for No. 3 heading into the postseason.
The top four teams remained unchanged according to the East's Regional Advisory Committee, despite No. 1 Adelphi taking their first loss of the season over the weekend.
The top team in the PSAC, Gannon, remains at No. 2 while the Mountain East's top team, Charleston, stays at No. 3. The Wildcats (16-1-1, 10-1-1 CACC) moved up slightly and are now tied with Charleston at third.
Franklin Pierce knocked off No. 1 Adelphi, 4-1, on Saturday and moved up two spots to No. 5 this week. West Chester slipped a spot to No. 6 while Mercy did the same to No. 7. CACC contender Post moved up a spot to No. 8 this week while Le Moyne also moved up a spot to No. 9 this week. Millersville slipped two spots to No. 10 while Southern New Hampshire and Notre Dame (Ohio) switched positions this week, with SNHU now at No. 11.
The Wildcats are off this week and await their opponent for the CACC Tournament Quarterfinal game which they will host on Monday, November 11 at 2:00 p.m. The Wildcats are the No. 1 seed for the CACC Tournament.
