FREDERICK, Md. - - The early season momentum of the Wilmington University women's bowling team continued on Saturday, as they went 3-2 and finished fourth after five traditional matches on the first day of the Mount Shootout at the Terrace Lanes.

The Wildcats averaged a 180.7 in the days 25 games, knocking down a total of 4,517 pins. They trailed only Youngstown State's 4,694 pins, Duquesne's 4,555 pins, and Delaware State's 4,548 pins, all NCAA Division I programs.

Individually, the Wildcats all finished in the top 39, with 102 bowlers taking action on Saturday. The team was led by Malia Stout's 12^th place finish, as she bowled games of 180, 178, 171, 246, and 174. She put down 949 pints for a 189.80 average. Stout's 246 is the fifth highest individual game in program history.

CC Riojas set a new personal mark with a 929 on Saturday, averaging a 185.80. She bowled games of 204, 171, 178, 193, and 205 finishing in 15^th place overall. Finishing directly behind her was teammate Bailey Peters in 16^th place overall, knocking down 922 pins for a 184.40 average. She finished with games of 171, 173, 175, 198, and 205.

KC Miller finished 36^th overall on Saturday, knocking down 865 pins for a 173 average. She bowled games of 184, 169, 185, 155, and 172. Rachel Hirst rounded out the Wildcats on the lanes on Saturday, finishing 39^th overall with an 852 for a 170.40 average. She bowled games of 129, 156, 188, 189, and 190.

Youngstown State's Emma Wrenn earned Tournament MVP honors, with a total pinfall of 1,081, averaging a 216.20 per game. Chestnut Hill's Madeline Gannon, Duquesne's Crystal Elliott, Felician's Nicole Aumack, and Delaware State's Alexis Neuer earned All-Tournament honors for finishing in the Top 5.

Sunday begins the Baker Bracket format of the Mount Shootout, where the Wildcats will look to finish with their highest bracket finish in program history.
