Tyler Hansen joined the Wilmington University baseball program as an assistant coach in August 2022, with his first season on the bench with the Wildcats in 2023. Hansen will be the pitching coach for the Wildcats.

Hansen is getting his first look at collegiate baseball, coming to Wilmington with knowledge inside the Maryland travel ball organization. He currently works with the All Seasons Sports Academy and the 5-Star National Mid-Atlantic organization.

He is the Director of Pitching at the All-Seasons Sports Academy in Elkton, Maryland, providing individual instruction on pitching mechanics, strategy, grips, and the mentality of pitching. Hansen uses Rapsodo, the ArmCare.com app, Core Velocity Belt, Clean Fuego Balls, Crossover Symmetry Resistance Bands, and Driveline Plyocare Balls to help train and develop his players.

Hansen is also a head coach for the 5-Star National Mid-Atlantic programs, running all aspects of the program. He got his coaching start at Caravel Academy as an assistant coach from 2015-17 under head coach Paul Niggebrugge.

Hansen graduated from Ohio University Magna Cum Laude with a BS in Sports Administration in 2015.
