Four WilmU Teams Earn Top BIlling as 2019-20 CACC Team Academic Awards are Announced
August 13, 2020The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) unveiled its 2019-20 CACC Team Academic Award winners on Wednesday, as six schools combined to take home the 17 honors for the 2019-20 academic year. The announcement was made by CACC Commissioner Dan Mara, as the school with the highest team grade point average in each of the league's 16 championship sports, was crowned the Team Academic Award winner for that specific sport. -
Lorne Bickley Named 2019-20 CACC/CCA Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year
June 18, 2020Wilmington University men's soccer star Lorne Bickley on Thursday was named the 2019-20 Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference (CACC) Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year, as announced by Commissioner Dan Mara. Bickley will now move on for regional and national consideration for the Male Scholar-Athlete of the Year Award presented by the Division 2 Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA). Nominating and voting for the conference award was conducted by the league's 14 sports information directors. -
Men’s Soccer Earns Three Wildcats to 2019 United Soccer Coaches All-America Teams
December 12, 2019For the first time since the 2015 season, the Wilmington University men’s soccer team earned three All-Americans in one season, but the first time in program history to have more than one named to the United Soccer Coaches All-American in one season, which was announced at the NCAA Division II pre-championships banquet Wednesday night. -

November 11, 2019The No. 1 ranked Wilmington University men's soccer team defeated No. 8 Concordia, 7-4 in the CACC Quarterfinal game at the Complex on Monday afternoon. Lorne Bickley and Abdul Mansaray both recorded two goals and one assist in the win. With Bickely's second goal of the game, he broke the all-time record for points in a single-season at WilmU with 55. Shawn Genus had one goal and two assists, while Joe Bell recorded one goal. Ben Jordan had two assists, as Fredrik Bentdal had one assist. WU is now 17-1-1 on the season. They will play No.. 5 Georgian Court at Post in the Semifinals. -

Joe Bell scored the game's first goal and Lorne Bickley scored his CACC record breaking 23rd goal of the year for the 2-0 first half lead. Abdul Mansaray than scored his 13th goal of the yea rin the second half. Gabriel Prgomet made two saves to record his seventh shutout of the season.Teh Wildcats are now 15-1-1 overall and 9-1-1 in the CACC with one match remaining in the regular season.
