Men’s Soccer Moves Up One Spot To No. 13 in Latest United Soccer Coaches DII National Poll

NEWARK, Del. - - Following a 2-0 week, the Wilmington University men's soccer team moved up one spot in this week's United Soccer Coaches Division II National Poll to No. 13 while holding firm at No. 2 in the East Region.

The Wildcats are now 13-1-1 overall on the year, moving up to No. 13 in the eighth week of the National Poll. A new team took over the No. 1 spot in the National Poll, as Franklin Pierce fell to No. 5 after a double overtime loss to Stonehill on Saturday. The University of Indianapolis takes over the top spot in the National Poll with a 12-0-1 overall record.

American International is the only other team in the East Region to be nationally ranked, returning to the poll at No 23 with an 11-1-1 overall record.

Franklin Pierce remains at No. 1 in the East Region while American International and Georgian Court flip-flip positions at No. 3 and 4. Georgian Court also suffered their first loss of the season on Saturday at Post.

The Wildcats face off against Georgian Court on Wednesday at the WU Athletics Complex. The kickoff is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
