Andres Hurtado returned to his alma mater as a part of the Wilmington men’s soccer staff in 2012 after serving as the head coach at Delaware Technical Community College – Stanton campus from since 2008. He led Del. Tech to a 36-27-7 overall record in four years, including a 12-6-2 record in 2009.

Prior to beginning his coaching career, Hurtado came to Wilmington University in 2001 as a member of the men’s soccer program. He helped lead the Wildcats to the 2001 and 2003 CACC Championship and was named a team captain as a senior in 2005.

Hurtado earned his USSF National B coaching license in 2011 and currently works full time with the Kirkwood Soccer Club as the Director of Coaching and Urban League Director. He was also the Olympic Development Program (ODP) head coach from 2009-11.

While at Kirkwood, Hurtado runs and oversees representative teams in the club, facilitates coaching courses, train teams for youth development, organize team and schedules for the Urban League, coach the KSC U17 Courage girls’ team to the 2012 State Championship and coach the KSC U12 boy’s academy team to the 2012 State Championship.

Prior to coming to Wilmington in 2001, He was a four-year letterwinner at West Chester High School, earning captaincy as a senior in 2000.
