The offense was off and running in the contest, putting up their most points in a game this season. They had three players reach 20 or more points, led by LaShyra Williams' 25 points. Jasmine Lee came off the bench to score 24 points in 25 minutes while Macy Robinson also chipped in with 20 points and nine rebounds. December 05, 2016The Wilmington University women's basketball team snapped a 15-game losing streak to the Philadelphia University Rams on Saturday, taking down their CACC foe 63-60 at home. The Wildcats used a 16-8 third quarter to turn around a 39-33 halftime deficit, but needed a late bucket to secure the win. Trailing by a point, the Wildcats secured a rebound and pushed the tempo, as Ebonee Dixon started it with a long outlet pass to Nyree Grant. Grant went with one more pass to LaShyra Williams who laid it home for the 61-60 lead with 25 seconds left. The defense then squeezed a turnover out of the Rams and hit a pair of free throws for the 63-60 final score. Grant collected her second straight double-double with 10 points and 17 rebounds while Williams led the Wildcats with 16 points.
