Logan Brown and Sydney Jones Named to 2024-25 CACC Bowling All-Conference Teams

NEW HAVEN, Conn. - - The Central Atlantic Collegiate Conference announced its 2024-25 Women's Bowling All-Conference Teams and Wilmington University student-athletes Logan Brown and Sydney Jones have been honored once again for the Wildcats.

Logan Brown (Waldorf, Md./Westlake) is a repeat honoree as a First Team All-CACC performer while Sydney Jones (Middletown, Del./Caravel Academy) is now a three-time honoree in her career, taking home another Second Team All-CACC award as a graduate student.

Logan Brown finished fourth in the CACC with an overall average frame score of 19.289 while finishing second overall in traditional scoring with a 19.906 pins per roll. She was fourth in Baker format matches with an 18.849 frame average. She was fourth in the league with a 44.2 strike percentage on the season and third overall in converting on 68.3 percent of her spare attempts. She was also fourth in the CACC with an 85.671% in the player composite performance index (PCPI).

Brown set a new WilmU program record at the Northeast Region Roundup with a five-match total of 1,164 pins. She took home Tournament MVP honors after bowling games of 226-213-267-200-258, finishing with a 232.80 average.

Sydney Jones finished seventh overall in the CACC with an 18.487 scoring average, finishing each format in eighth place with an 18.864 frame average in traditional matches and 18.212 frame average in Baker matches. She finished the season with a 40.2 individual strike percentage and a 64.4 percent rate on converting spares. She led the CACC with a 24.2 success rate on split attempts and was seventh in the CACC with a 69.690% PCPI.

Jones finished a season-high fourth at each of the CACC Meets, helping the Wildcats to earn the No. 3 seed for the upcoming CACC Tournament. She had a season's best 987 five-match total at the Bud Whitman Memorial, going for a 197.40 match average.

Caldwell's Lauren Marks was named the CACC Bowler of the Year for the second straight season. Dominican's Kyra Walter was voted as the CACC Bowling Rookie of the Year while Felician's Rusty Thomsen repeated as the CACC Coach of the Year as voted on by the league's sports information directors.

Brown, Jones and the rest of the Wildcats compete in the CACC Championships this weekend, starting on Saturday morning. It is hosted by Chestnut Hill at the Pike Lanes in Southampton, Pennsylvania.
